CADRAN Learning - nails it
I really appreciate that the host didn't talk about audio from her studio, but instead challenged herself to visit the beach - a very difficult situation to get good audio.

Homework
1 - TEST YOUR MICROPHONE
It's important to know your equipment, and the best way to learn it is to test.

The worst way? Is to wing it on set and get back to the editing bay and realize your camera or audio wasn't working the way you expected it to.

This week, test your microphone:

1) Stand 2 feet from your microphone and recite some dialogue (a few lines of something you have memorized)

2) Then do the same thing at 5', 8', 10'

3) Import your footage and listen. How does it sound?

4) For extra-credit. See if you can clean up the audio using noise reduction (built in effect on FCPX) or EQ.

Post your findings on our Facebook Page.

3 - SHARE YOUR VIDEOS
